The Green Mountain Center for Gifted Education is a 501 (c) 3 registered non-profit whose mission is affirming, educating, and supporting gifted youth and their families.
The organization was created in 2003 to promote personal growth in the intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and creative development of Vermont's gifted and talented. We also strive to increase awareness, throughout Vermont's educational, business, medical, mental health, and other communities, of the needs and potential future contributions of the gifted and talented.
We host the Talent Development Institute, a summer program for students entering grades 1 through 9. As of Fall 2007, we will also be offering Saturday programs and home-schooling programs, and are working on developing after-school programs and vacation programs for children. Our services to parents include discussion groups and informational seminars throughout the year. Professional development and extensive consultation services are also available.
